Birthday 2011

This year their was an additional member to celebrate my birthday and minus a member. (Additional = Donald) (Minus = Sister)

Donald attempted to plan my birthday which was a fail since I ban his suggestions. I thought he knew me well enough to plan it but he didn’t. Donald, better luck next time. lol. Sister was missing because she was seriously sick. I missed her that night.

I decided to go back to B Flat in the Tribeca area. (Been there before for Chef Akiyama’s Pop-Up Gourmet event.) It’s a nice jazz lounge. If I don’t have class Monday and Wednesday night,  I would come back to experience the live jazz.

We all started off the night with some alcohol. Wendy got Pineapple and Rum. Alina got a beer of some kind. Donald got a Lychee Martini.

I ordered also a Lychee Martini. It wasn’t strong but it was enough for me. My face was red by the end of the night.

Wendy holding the fries as if it was a trophy! lol. We had 2 orders of it. It was sooo good. Nice and hot and freshly made. Yum. I would go back just for it.

Fireworks @ Coney Island

In July, Wendy, Alina and I went to Coney Island a few times to hang out and watch fireworks. We were sitting directly under the fireworks. It was amazing! Best fireworks ever. Here are some pictures to prove it.

This was the start of something amazing.

New Years Day (Part 1) – Madame Tussauds Wax Museum

SPOILER: This is as if I am giving you an entire tour of the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. If you plan to go, you might not want to go through the entire blog entry. Very very long one too.

I had a very fun and enjoyable New Years Eve and Day. It was one of the best New Years Eve and Day as of now. I spend my New Years Eve with Wendy, Alina, and Alice at home hot potting and enjoying an old-time movie, The Tuxedo. We talked and ate and had a full and wonderful night. It was a very uneventful evening but it was a lot of fun to just hang out and chill like old times. They even slept over like old times.

New Years Day was very eventful, unlike New Years Eve. I met up with Amanda and Jessica at around 11am and ate a quick breakfast. Afterward we started on our long day of events. First off, we went to visit the MADAME TUSSAUDS WAX MUSEUM.

We start off the tour of Madame Tussauds Wax Museum with a very famous television host, Oprah Winfrey.

We took turns taking pictures of each other with the celebrities. Most of the time I was posing just like the wax statues. We took almost 200 photos.

Then we met up with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. I really don’t think Brad Pitt is that handsome. I saw a lot of guys hanging all over Angelina Jolie’s wax figure and ignoring Brad Pitt’s. lol

I love the pictures we took with Jim Carrey! I love the pose we did! ^.^ It’s my favorite photo!

I never thought Amanda would be the same height as Jennifer Aniston. I like her movies.

Uh hmm… On a date with Johnny Depp and Leonardo DiCaprio. lol Though, Leonardo ain’t cute anymore. He was so cute and dreamy in Titanic.

I think they did a horrible job on Jennifer Lopez. It really does not look like her. One of the worst wax figures.

So comfortable sitting in Julia Roberts’ chair.

After seeing Miley Cyrus, I wish I went to her concert in November 2009. I could have been really jamming to her music.

Laughing along with Marilyn Monroe in her poster.

Benjamin Franklin and President Andrew Jackson should really smile. They don’t need to be so serious.

If I remember correctly this should be Madame Tussauds. There was another smaller and older statue of her on the other side. She was just gently laying her hat on my head.

Pointing at the bad President George W Bush. He should have done his job as President well.

Hillary, Bill Clinton and Amanda waving at us, to the proud citizens of USA.

Princess Diana looks nice in her long red dress and heels.

Mirror images pose of me and the weird scientist, Albert Einstein.

Jessica raising the flag with the firefighters. Long live America!

President Barack Obama and I enjoying the view from the Oval Office.

We are on our way to the Pop Stars section downstairs.

Jessica is chilling with the young version of Madonna.

Jessica playing the drums with the Jonas Brothers.

Go Go Girls power with Lindsay Lohen.

Singing with Jessica Simpson at the wax museum! ^.^ I love her pose and she is one of the prettiest and most realistic wax statue.

Grring with tall and skinny, Dracula. I am going to get you!

Amanda enjoying a boxing match with heavyweight boxer, Muhammad Ali.

Marilyn Monroe‘s dress is so shiny, pretty and bright red. She really got curves.

Amanda is getting cooking tips from Lucille Ball from I Love Lucy.

Landing on the moon with astronauts, Neil Alden Armstrong and Edwin Eugene ‘Buzz’ Aldrin, Jr.

Look! I’m stealing one of Mark Spitz gold medal! lol He had 7, he can spare me one.

Getting friendly with NSYNC.

Amanda and I enjoying ourself on the American Idol stage.

Hanging out with Amelia Earhart, Napoleon, and Abraham Lincoln from Night At The Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian.

Wow. Yao Ming is a walking giant (This is base on his real size). Jessica, you sure you can grab the basketball from him? lol

Argg! Help! The Hulk got us!

Not to worry! Superman is here to save you!

Annnnddd, the award goes to Donna Wong!!!

To end this visit to Madame Mussaud’s Wax Museum we saw a Wall of Hands.

Alina and Wendy G’s Birthday Celebration – Part 2 (Gift Openings)

GIFT OPENING TIME!

Look at all that presents! Sharon and William (two little kids that James used to babysit for) made those Birthday cards. They misspelled some words so they were funny.

Wendy Lee, Alina and Wendy G with the necklaces that Wendy Lee gave them.

Alina and Wendy are opening the present from Linda. Alina is holding it but I don’t remember what it was. Wendy got a skirt and something else. They were wrapped in a VS box giving us the impression that it was lingerie. lol

Wendy G and Alina with the RED hat from Linda. Alina looks so funny in it. lol

Alice and I got Wendy G the Flicker Ring (3 star ring set) from Swarovski Crystal. She loved it!

Johnny got Alina the Death Note book.

He also got her the Death Note movie.

Johnny got Wendy a Twilight – New Moon’s puzzle ball.

Wendy and her two cousins’ gave her a Japanese Cherry Blossom Gift Set from Bath and Body Works.

Last but not least, James got Wendy a iHome alarm clock with Ipod charger.

It was a very fun night. We didn’t leave the restaurant till after midnight. Everyone got home pretty late from the city.

Alina and Wendy G’s Birthday Celebration – Part 1 (Dinner)

I know it is a little late for this post but I had been having a very busy schedule lately (not busy with work but busy with friends) and I was sick for a few days.

Alina and Wendy G’s Birthday outing would have been a huge success if it weren’t for the 1 1/2 hr! wait at Red Lobster for a 13 seat table. Which means we started to wait at 8pm and didn’t get seated until 9:30pm. I was already there at 6ish so I waited for 3 hrs! We did get the table and it was in a private room which was a nice touch. More room for Alina and Wendy G’s gift too. They took up a big corner.

We were talking and taking a lot of pictures while we wait for our food. Me and the birthday girls. Since we had the celebration on Dec. 12th it was an early and belated birthday celebration.

Me and my sis chillin’. Like my outfit?

All the gals at the celebration. Top Row = Wendy Lee, Alice, Me, Linda Bottom Row = Alina and Wendy G

The entire group and the only photo that Joe was in. Top Row = Wendy G’s cousins, Wayne (Alina’s Bro), Evan, Johnny, James, Joe Bottom Row = Wendy Lee, Alina, Wendy G, Linda, Me, and Alice

The one on the left was my cocktail, Blue Lagoon. It got Blue Curacao, Vodka, and Lemonade. The one on the right was Alina’s cocktail, Purple Rain. It got the same ingredient as mine except it also consist of grenadine. They both tasted really good. Can’t wait to order it again at another restaurant.

I ordered the Chef’s Signature Lobster and Shrimp Pasta in full size to share with my sister. It was pretty good but there was a lot of oil at the bottom of it. I hope it was vegetable or olive oil. It could also use a bit more lobster meat. Alice and I completely finished it.

Wayne and Joe ordered this, Crab Linguini Alfredo. Wayne was only able to eat 1/3 of it because he finished an appetizer all by himself. Joe was able to finish his. I was really surprised that he can finish it because the alfredo sauce look really thick and fulling.

Linda ordered a Lobster Pizza. She also ate only 1/3 of it.

Johnny ordered a Steak Lobster-and-Shrimp Oscar in medium rare. He said it was really tender and juicy. I think I will order this the next time I go to Red Lobster.

I didn’t get to take a picture of what everyone order. They were really hungry and already dig into their foods.

The total of the dinner came up to $497.56 for 13 people. After dinner it was OPENING PRESENTS’ TIME! (Present opening in next blog entry…)
