Log Jam

I haven’t written an actual restaurant review since 2011 and that one on Jewel Bako was very very short. (I am planning to revisit, Jewel Bako and write a new actual review.) When I went on my trip to Lake George, NY in June and ate at Log Jam. I told myself, it’s time to write a restaurant review. The food and everything was amazing!

The restaurant looks like a big log cabin! Very homie!

Upon entering the restaurant, you would feel like you had entered into Paul Bunyon’s home. It have three big stone fireplaces, plank floors, and rustic tables throughout the restaurant. The teddy bear at the entrance has Log and Jam stitched to it’s feet. So cute! (My face is super red because I had some white wine.)

Beautiful chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. It looks like antlers.

Along one section of the restaurant they have an all-you-can-eat salad bar. It’s a very fresh and extensive salad bar. You can keep yourself busy here while waiting for your entree.

Wendy and I ordered a small bottle of Pinot Grigio. For me, it was the right amount of dryness and light. It went down very smooth. Wendy thought it would be better if it was more dry. Rate: 5/5

We decided to order our entree to share. I ordered the Fresh Sea Scallop with a side of veggie, zucchini and squash. The sea scallops were broiled in white wine and lemon butter and topped with herb breadcrumbs. The scallop were cooked to perfection but the sauce had too much butter and was slightly too salty for me. The veggies were perfectly seasoned and steamed. The zucchini was great but the squash was a bit bitter. When we ask the server why it was bitter, he told us it’s normal for the squash to have a bitter aftertaste. I thought that was a bit bizarre. Rate: 3.75/5

King Crab Legs

Wendy ordered the Alaskan King Crab Leg (1.5 lbs) with a side of veggie, zucchini and squash. It’s market price value was very expensive. At first I was hesitant about it but after my first bite I was in love! It’s well worth the price marked on it. It came with drawn butter but it was great even without it. It was HEAVEN served on a plate! Rate: 6/5

By the end of the meal, I was filled to the RIM. We didn’t even order dessert.

Service: We did not make any reservations and we had a huge group of people (11 people) when we went. They were able to accommodate us very quickly. Our entree arrived at a timely fashion. Rate: 5/5

Can I only say what a relief to get someone who truly knows precisely what theyre discussing on the internet. You actually know how to provide an issue to light and earn it crucial. More people need to read this as well as understand this side of the account. I cant believe you are not more popular since you definitely have the gift.

I’m not the “biggest” fan on seafood (with the exception of Shrimp with Walnuts & Sushi), but those dishes look really appealing!
