Picnic Garden – Korean BBQ

I had Korean BBQ @ Picnic Garden (烤烤樂園) with my co-workers last Friday and it was delicious! Known as “Wang Kai Bi” to Koreans. It is a long walk from the Main Street subway but I was lucky to get picked up by my co-workers. It took us a good 10 minute to find a parking spot in the rain. The restaurant do have a parking lot but it’s extremely narrow and single-line.

It was really crowded when we arrived at around 8. Lucky for us, the wait for the table was only 2 minutes. One of our co-workers, Sandy arrived an hour later. It took her half an hour to find a parking spot in the area.

Price Menu

This is their price menu and serving time. I will definitely come back here for dinner on a “weekday” (Monday to Thursday) for the cheaper price of $22.99.

Buffet Style

As you can see from the price and setting it’s all-you-can eat buffet style! The front section is cooked food and the back section is raw marinated food. They marinated it just right. It was not to salty or bland. The only problem is the meats and foods are not label. We don’t know what meat we grabbed.

Food

Yummy! We had alot of meat, some vegetable (romaine lettuce, mushroom) and octopus. You have to ask them for the romaine lettuce. We ate alot of oranges for dessert. They don’t offer anything else for dessert. The waitress were very attentive, coming by to cut the meat and change the grills. We actually told her to not come by to cut the meat for us. Our co-worker, Nicky did most of the cutting and grilling. I basically just ate and ate and talked. lol.

Though the food is great, the restaurant surrounding is so so. There is no ventilation system so the restaurant is a bit smoky and foggy. There is one men and one women’s restroom. It was very unsanitized and dirty. I would avoid going to the bathroom if you could. (I have a not so good bladder so I can’t avoid it.)

If you a meat lover then you would love this place. Seouldiva, I know you’re a meat lover so you will love the food. I also suggest you to wear something you won’t mind getting a BBQ smell on because everything you bring with you will smell of it. Enjoy!

P.S. We were there till 11pm. 3 hrs!

That pricing difference is actually normal. Alot of buffet style places does that. I barely had enough room in my stomach for dessert. The oranges were good enough.
